Vincent was very hands-on and made sure I understood every movement and where I needed to adjust to perform at my best. Honestly the greatest PT, and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I had been dealing with lingering knee pain from my earlier football career. After working with Dr. Vincent, I’m now able to squat functionally with no pain, and my range of motion has improved greatly. I feel powerful again and much more in control of my body.

I was dealing with knee issues where any pushing movement was a struggle, and running wasn’t even an option. Within three weeks of working with Dr. Vincent, I was able to compete in a HYROX event and now train my lower body with no restrictions. More importantly, I trust my body again. I no longer hesitate when I’m asked to perform a specific workout or movement. Vincent is extremely knowledgeable and hands-on, and even though I’m not a professional athlete, he treated me like one with a very personalized approach. The entire experience was fantastic. His knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine care made a huge difference in both my recovery and my confidence in pursuing my fitness goals.

Vincent is an amazing person to go to for any issues involving training and injuries. He takes his time with you and tries to understand all the causes of an injury. He is truly knowledgeable and applies it to his clients. He is very patient-oriented. A left calf strain was preventing me from training for my marathon and running my usual mileage. After working with Vincent, I improved within about a week and a half and was able to return to my normal mileage.

I had been dealing with chronic knee pain for a long time and couldn’t make progress with any exercise routine. Since working with Dr. Vincent, I’m finally able to train consistently again. I’m gaining strength, feeling more energetic, and feel much more confident in my movement overall. What makes Vincent different is how personalized his approach is. He combines hands-on treatment with strength training and adjusts the plan based on how your body responds. He has an incredible ability to choose the right exercises at the right time and guide you step by step back to strength, mobility, and fitness. He is truly a rare find. His genuine warmth and care for his clients is matched only by his deep understanding of how the body works.

I came to Dr. Vincent because I was dealing with hip and back pain and had trouble squatting, especially engaging my left glute. After working with him, I can now feel both of my glutes working properly during squats, and my hip and back pain have significantly reduced. He took the time to really understand what I was going through, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure everything was done right. 10/10 experience! It felt very attentive and personalized

Dr. Vincent helped me with a chronic hamstring strain/tendinopathy that had been limiting my ability to sprint and train at full intensity. Running and putting full pressure through my leg was a struggle. He combined hands-on treatment with progressive strength training and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. He listened to how my body was responding and adjusted the plan along the way. Since working with him, I’ve hit both personal and school records in my events and feel more explosive and confident when I sprint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Explore answers to common questions about Onyx Performance

Do you take insurance?
Onyx Performance is out-of-network, so care can be based on your goals rather than visit limits. Some clients may receive reimbursement depending on their plan.
Why is Onyx Performance out of network?
Because your recovery should not end when insurance stops paying. Insurance plans often dictate visit length, frequency, and what treatments are allowed. In many clinics, this leads to shorter one-on-one time and care focused primarily on reducing pain rather than preparing the body for real activity. By operating out of network, care at Onyx Performance is designed around your goals rather than plan limitations. This allows for: full one-on-one sessions, progress at the pace your body actually needs, a focus on strength, capacity, and long-term resilience, addressing the root cause, not just symptoms, and integrating rehabilitation and training within the same plan. The goal is not simply temporary relief, but helping you move, train, and perform with confidence.
Can I continue training while working with you?
In many cases, yes. The goal is to continue activity, but to modify current training in a way that allows progress while managing symptoms and addressing the underlying issue. Depending on the situation, certain movements, loads, or volumes may need to be adjusted temporarily. However, most individuals are able to continue training in some capacity while we work on improving movement quality, strength, and resilience.
How often will I need to come in?
Frequency depends on your goals, current symptoms, and stage of recovery. While packages are available, visit plans are determined on a case-by-case basis rather than preset schedules.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are one-on-one and typically last about 60 minutes so assessment, treatment, and training progression can all be addressed in the same visit.
Do I need imaging before starting?
Not in most cases. Many orthopedic issues can be evaluated through movement assessment first. If imaging is appropriate, guidance will be provided.
Can I come in just for training?
Yes. You do not need to be injured to work with us. Training is available for individuals who want structured strength and performance guidance, injury prevention, or a program built around their goals. Contact directly to discuss what you are looking for and whether it is a good fit. Semi-private options are also available.
Do you offer mobile visits?
Yes. Sessions can be done at your gym of choice or home depending on what best matches your goals and equipment needs.
Is this only for athletes?
No. The same principles apply whether you compete in sport, train recreationally, or simply want to return to normal activities without pain. Vincent has worked with a wide range of orthopedic conditions across athletes and active adults.
What is Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training?
Blood flow restriction (BFR) training is a technique that uses specialized cuffs to partially restrict venous blood flow while performing low-load resistance exercises. This allows individuals to build strength and stimulate muscle growth while using lighter weights.Research shows that low-load training with BFR can produce improvements in muscle strength and hypertrophy comparable to traditional heavy resistance training. Because of this, BFR can be particularly useful during rehabilitation when heavier loading may not yet be appropriate. It may also be used during certain training phases to support strength development and muscle growth while reducing stress on joints and healing tissues. When appropriate, BFR may be incorporated into rehabilitation or performance training sessions.‍
